Information and research relevant to adverse reactions related to dental biomaterials are included in the work of the Adverse Reaction Unit.
Dissemination
“Bivirkningsbladet” (in Norwegian) is an information sheet from the Dental Biomaterials Adverse Reaction Unit. It contains, among other things, information about the work of the Adverse Reaction Unit as well as on research on side effects of dental materials.
Research projects
The Adverse Reaction Unit collaborates with other academic communities and works on the following research projects:
Project with experimental treatment
On behalf of the Norwegian Directorate of Health, the adverse reaction group is carrying out a project of experimental treatment aimed at patients with suspected adverse reactions from amalgam.
The project started in 2013 and is being carried out in collaboration with NAFKAM/UiT, The Arctic University of Norway, the General Practice Research Unit in Bergen, and several dental competence centers.
Data from the project have been published in scientific journals.
